Books I Accept
In an effort to be fair to you, my readers, and myself, I try to only accept books I think I will like. Please only query me for books that meet all of the following requirements:
- Genre: Fantasy, science fiction, LGBT
- Length: Novella or longer
- Age Range: 13+
- Professionally designed and edited
- NOT grimdark, cynical, nihilist, gritty, etc.
Additionally, though I’m open to them, these topics will be a hard sell:
- Age gaps
- Eating disorders (especially depictions of disordered behavior)
- Companion animal death
- Fatphobia
- Institutionalization of disabled or mentally ill people
- Plagues and pandemics
- Religious fiction
- Sexual violence
- Time travel
- Zombies
How I Review
I accept ebooks, audiobooks, and print books. Please format ebooks for Kindle reading.
Unless you request otherwise, I aim to post all ARC reviews within 1 week (either side) of the release date.
I cross post to Amazon (other retailers by request) and share a snippet with a link to my blog on Goodreads.
I don’t use a star/grade rating system on my blog. Instead, I say if I liked the book or loved it. This translates to 4 or 5 stars, respectively, on Amazon and Goodreads.
NOTE: While I do my give all books fair and timely consideration, I no longer guarantee I will post a review of every book I receive. I do not review your book within 3 months, please assume I have decided not to do so.

Put “REVIEW REQUEST” somewhere in the subject line, and make sure to include the title of your book, your byline and pronouns, a blurb, the release date, and any links I can use to find out more in the body of your email.
